What are cookies?
What cookies do we use?
Two types of cookies may be used on our website, these are called “session cookies” and “persistent cookies”. Session cookies are temporary cookies which are stored on your unit until you leave the website, whereas a persistent cookie is stored on your unit for a longer period of time or until you remove it manually yourself (how long the cookie is saved/stored on your unit depends on the durability or “lifetime” of the specific cookie).
Cookies may furthermore come in these different forms and be used for the following purposes:
Basic cookies: These are necessary for the website to function and to enable the users navigation of it as well at the websites services and functions. Without these cookies the functionality of the website would not work as smoothly for the user as the host would hope for and the host may not be able to provide the website or certain services or functions the user may ask for.
Preference cookies: These cookies gather information about the user’s choices and preferences and enable the host to remember languages or other local settings and adapt the website in accordance with this.
Analytic cookies: These cookies gather information about the user’s use of the website and enable the host to improve the website’s functions. These cookies, e.g. show the host which pages on the website are the most visited, help us register issues which the user may have with the website as well as show the host if it’s advertisement is efficient or not. This enables the host to see an overall pattern of the use of it’s website rather than the use of a single individual.
