James Strong is a multi award winning director whose credits include co –creating and directing the BAFTA winning series ‘Broadchurch’ and the applauded feature film ‘United’, starring David Tenant.

James directs with an enthusiasm that is infectious, creating powerful, honest and captivating work that include the hit TV series ‘11.22.62’ based on the critically acclaimed book by Stephen King produced by JJ Abrams and starring James Franco & Chris Cooper.

His directing career began in factual programme’s and documentaries, and quickly became recognized as Best Director at the BAFTA Cymru Awards 2008 for his work on Doctor Who.

Today James continues to work as an accomplished & professional performance director working across TV, Commercials & Feature Films.  Most recently James wrapped a new 8 part ITV thriller series ‘Liar’ set to release in the autumn 2017 starring Joanne Froggatt and Ioan Gruffudd.

James Strong is heading to Middle Earth. The Hollywood Reporter reveals the British director will helm the biopic about author J.R.R. Tolkien.

James Strong directs the first episode of Doubt, a new legal drama on CBS starring Laverne Cox and Katherine Heigl, the latter of whom plays an attorney who falls for her murder-accused client. This show is also a landmark in that it is the first network television drama to star a transgender actress playing a non-trans character.
