In the Ivorian metropole Abidjan, the boys are fantasising about life as a footballer in Europe. To many of them, football is a ticket to a brighter future for themselves and their families. The dream suddenly comes true for one of them when a Swedish agent takes the merely 17-year old talent to a club in Stockholm. From the moment he is scouted to his arrival in the cold North, the expectations of the young talent are enormous. Everybody, from his family to his agents and new club put their hopes into him. But can he withstand the pressure that goes hand in hand with a career in professional football? The director Olof Berglind gives us a unique look behind the scenes of professional elite sport in a highly topical film about integration, globalisation and the many faces of modern football.
