About the project

"The Hotel" is the last part of the trilogy about traveling. The first two were "The Atlantic" and "The Lighthouse". "The Hotel" is a different kind of home. It can be a refuge, cul-de-sac, castle, nightmare, creative space...
The first hotel was created as protection against the elements. Weary travelers coudl find shelter and rest. But it was also a place for legends and anecdotes. For ten years, Kristian Petri has been collecting material to make this film. In "The Hotel" some of the hotel guests we´ll meet are Lars Norén, Stellan Skarsgård, Åsne Seierstad, Björn Andresen and Zengoro Houshi.
